Marjolein’s role at Matrix NP is to provide evidence-based therapies to support children and/or their parents.  This includes support with mental health, such as anxiety, emotion regulation and behavioural control. She is a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, as well as a certified facilitator of Turning into Kids and Teens. Her clinical work is also informed by her understanding of a broad range of mental health interventions.

Next to working as a psychologist, Marjolein holds a university appointment and is conducting research into the emotional well-being of women and their partners experiencing early pregnancy loss. She also leads a research study into how children experience and form a relationship with their body after invasive cancer treatment.

Marjolein completed her training overseas and has also met AHPRA’s requirements to practice as a Psychologist in Australia. She holds a Medicare provider number and is able to offer partial rebates on up to 10 sessions per calendar year for clients who have a GP referral under the Better Access Initiative.
