Dr Rachael Knott
Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr Rachael Knott (she/her) is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who works with people across the lifespan. She works across hospital, private, and research settings, which typically involve conducting neuropsychological assessments. These assessments can be diagnostic in nature, or to help better understand and characterise cognition at that point in time.
Rachael completed her PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at Monash University and is an AHPRA-registered psychologist with endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist. During her PhD, she worked in the area of neurodevelopment, with a focus on better understanding the overlap between autism and ADHD. This research has contributed to her strong interest in working with neurodivergent individuals. However, she also has experience in acquired brain injury and is interested in supporting individuals with a range of neurodevelopmental, mental health, and medical diagnoses.
Rachael takes a person-centred and evidence-based approach to assessment. She believes that neuropsychological assessment is most useful when it goes beyond scores and diagnoses to develop a meaningful understanding of the individual, including their strengths, experiences and support needs at that time in their life.
